The ProForm 910 E is a step up from the 510 and 710 models with all of the same features including an extended stride length, more workout programs and more resistance levels. Yet at under $1000 with all of these features included, the front drive ProForm 910 E may just be too good to be true.

UPDATE: This model is no longer available, replaced by the new and improved ProForm 920 E. Check out our review.

“Proform must have thought that due to the success of Sole and LiveStrong, “Hey, we need a front drive elliptical too”. It seems that this is about all of the thought that they put into this machine. Do yourself a favor and stick with LiveStrong or Sole. While not a bad machine, in fact it is very average, it just doesn’t match up to the other guys.” – Treadmill Doctor

“This 910 E is very similar in design to the 510 E and 710 E elliptical trainers from Proform. A few parts are more robust and the stride length is a bit longer making workouts more comfortable. Still, for a $1,000 there are better units available from other manufacturers such as Precor, Smooth Fitness, and Life Fitness. We found the incline ramp to be difficult to use, the display is poorly backlit, and while the stride is the best of the entry level front drive elliptical trainers from Proform, it’s still not well balanced or entirely stable.” – Elliptical Trainers

“The 910 E Elliptical is packed with features that give you the results you want, fast.” – Mercantila

User Reviews

“So far, this is one of the best elliptical machines I’ve ever come into contact with. It took my husband and I about 2 hours to put together including a couple of water breaks, and we had our 3 year old interrupting us! I love it . I’m 295 lbs, but not for too much longer, and it holds my weight very well. Great buy, and it came quick!!” – Sam F, FL

“This elliptical was great when it worked but after about 3 months of daily use the right side of the ramp came completely off at the wield. This caused the ramp to bend making it so the elliptical no longer glides at all making it completely useless. What a nightmare… As of Monday my machine was fixed and working. Total time to get repaired was over a month. Now hopefully this will last… Otherwise it is a great machine while it works. I just hope I didn’t throw $900 out the window.” – Mike Langone, GA

“Using to lose more weight–love the machine but takes up A LOT of room.” – Dick’s Sporting Goods customer

Although many say the ProForm 910 E Elliptical does have a few improved features than the 510 E and 710 E elliptical trainers, some question whether it’s worth the extra money for the upgrade or not. While it does offer a longer stride length, a few more built-in workouts and two additional resistance levels some users and experts alike questioned the quality build of this front drive design elliptical.

While it is a quality elliptical and offers many high-end features that will be sure to give you a good workout, you may want to save yourself the money and go for the 510 or 710 E, or possibly another brand all together if you are looking in this price range.
