The Schwinn A45 is the upgraded version of the incredibly cheap, yet still ridiculously overpriced A40 model. This is the 2013 model and it has just entered the market, so there isn’t a lot of information out there about it yet, but I wouldn’t count on it being drastically better than the A40.

Expert Reviews

The Schwinn A45 Elliptical is a 2013 model, and has just been released. Because it is so new, there aren’t any expert reviews yet. I will update as soon as the experts start writing reviews.

User Reviews

Likewise, there haven’t been any user reviews yet. This should change shortly, because I’m guessing that this model will be a hot Christmas gift this year due to the low price.

Conclusion

At this point I can in no way recommend the Schwinn A45 Elliptical machine. I really hope that the company was able to make the needed upgrades from the A40, but even if they did, the A45 still has a horrible warranty. That should warn you that it is cheaply made.

The .5” increase in the stride length is a joke. Tall people will probably not feel comfortable on this machine, because the stride is simply too short.
If this model is all that you can afford, I would recommend a gym membership – at least until it has some solid reviews behind it.
