The NordicTrack ACT Commercial 10 treadmill is the top of the line model in the mid-drive series, offering a ton of great features at a very affordable price.

What we love about these models, in addition to the fact that they offer a generous 22″ stride which can accommodate the tallest of users, is that they are so compact. At only 54″ in length and low pedals they are perfect for those with limited space as well as low ceilings. Workout Programs

The A.C.T. Commercial 10 has 35 built-in workouts, which is quite impressive. There are three types of programs available – calorie, performance, and intensity. This diversity offers plenty of options for you. In addition, this treadmill is iFit compatible, meaning you can not only take advantage of additional tailored workouts, you can also track your progress, share with others and virtually work out anywhere in the world using Google map technology.

Web Enabled Display

You get a 10-inch, web enabled, touchscreen display, an upgrade from the Commercial 7 model which has a 7″ display. You can surf the web, watch videos, check out your social pages as well as check your workout stats such as calories burned, distance run and time spent.

Increased Stability

All of the ACT Commercial treadmills are center-drive, meaning the mechanism is centrally located, as opposed to the typical front and rear drive models you may have used before. This can help with stability as you are situated directly above the mechanism as you can see in the picture..

Resistance Levels

Like the Commercial 7, this one also offers 24 resistance levels that you can easily adjust with the touch of a button. The best part is the transition from one level to another is seamless and quiet, unlike on some treadmills where you hear a loud noise as the machines adjusts from one resistance level to the next.

Heart Rate Monitor

Dual CardioGrip sensors are built into the handle bars, which send a reading to the display when you work out. They also include a bluetooth wireless chest strap which communicates with the machine to keep you in the right heart zone. Previous models did not include this option.

In addition to these great features, the NordicTrack Commercial 10 offers a water bottle holder, soft touch grips, three-level adjustable oversized pedals and a very generous warranty.

Anything we didn’t like?

We can’t really point out anything we did not like about this treadmill. Having the mechanism right in the middle, as opposed to the front or back is a bit different but in a good way, so that’s not really something that should hold you back from buying this one. It doesn’t offer incline or decline capability, but with so many workout options that doesn’t really matter too much. It doesn’t have too much more than the Commercial 7 model, but the screen is bigger and the warranty is a little better, and the cost is just an additional $200 so in our opinion it is worth it.

What’s the bottom line?

The NordicTrack ACT Commercial 10 is a welcome addition to the lineup. It is compact, powerful and packed with great features typically found in more expensive models. You have a host of workout options to choose from, a generous stride and you can put the machine pretty much anywhere with its small footprint.
