Overview: The Navarre Elite is the latest in Yowza’s 2015 CardioSure line of ellipticals. This model features an impressive array of upgrades from its little sisters: the Jupiter Plus, the Jupiter, and the Jupitor Pilot. Its asking price is $2699. Keep in mind, however, that this machine shares many similarities to its sibling model, the Navarre Plus, which is a several hundred dollars cheaper.

UPDATE: As of 2018 it seems that Yowza may be out of business. Check out our Best Ellipticals section for our expert’s top picks in all price ranges.

MyLiveLight app

A myriad of web and mobile apps that help manage every aspect of your lifestyle. It helps track your daily caloric intake versus calories burned, and helps to deliver optimized workout programs that best meet your specifications. It intelligently works in conjunction with Bluetooth enabled Intelligent Weight Management (IWM) technology (via the included scale) to deliver your best workout combination in order to get the most out of your time.

SuperGrip Dual Action Handlebars

They help deliver a more intense, full body workout. This way, with your upper body engaged, you can tone up quicker and reach your goals faster.

0-60% Grade Power Incline

This generous incline option can also be found on its sister model, the Navarre Plus. With this much leeway, there’s no excuse for a workout that is “too easy”.

Bountiful Stride Range

This stride range (19”-30”) is also offered on the Navarre Plus model, making it ideal for taller users. It’s often hard to find a maximum stride length greater than 22” in most elliptical trainers.

Other notable features: 3-speed adjustable fan, FitSound speakers, and a USB charging port.

Guru Test Drive

We always like to start out with a call to customer service just to get a feel for the company and how they treat their potential customers. I must say they were incredibly patient with me as I asked them about each of their models in the CardioSure line, even if my questions seemed trivial or silly.

I appreciate the return of the transport wheels, both in this model as well as in the Navarre Plus. It makes it easier to move the machine around should you ever want to move it out of sight or change where in the house you want it. This is especially beneficial since it’s a relatively heavy item, weighing in at 307 pounds. The assembly was painless and quick.

As a gym rat for many years, I’ve come to the realization that I needed to invest in some equipment for usage at home. This elliptical is the perfect addition because after years of trail and road running, my ankles, knees and hips have really taken a beating. The ErgoFit self-pivoting pedals really help alleviate the stress on your joints, optimizing the transfer of weight from your ankles to your knees. I can comfortably work out on this machine for almost 90 minutes without experiencing any discomfort.

At a little bit above average height, the stride range on this has proven itself to be incredibly comfortable. The range of 19 to 30 inches leaves plenty of wiggle room for those who are taller, as well as users who are shorter. It will adjust to all of your family’s stride needs effortlessly. The maximum user weight is 330 pounds, making this machine applicable to a wide audience.

A big aspect of many people’s weight loss/fitness journey is documenting and sharing their progress with both family and friends. However, we’ve all long been a cynic of the inaccurate caloric outputs at the gym. The combination of MyLiveLight and the IWM scale has really changed this. Those who are visually oriented will really enjoy the easy to understand graphics that this feature provides.

Although I’m not one to weigh myself all the time, I liked the Bluetooth enabled scale, which shares the information with the elliptical. The machine stores up to 9 user profiles, so it recognizes your age, height and weight that day. Then, it delivers an optimized workout based on your specific stats. You don’t have to think about the best way to go about you workout since all of the guess work is already calculated for you. Additionally, if you want to do interval training, you can just strap on the included Wireless Chest Strap, which usually gives out more accurate heart rate readings. You can adjust the intensity of your workout accordingly.

You’ll also likely enjoy being able to connect your phone up to the console and play music as you work out. It’s great motivation and really helps speed up the workout. I was impressed by the clear sound quality that resonates through the speakers. Furthermore, the machine is incredibly quiet. I can barely hear the whir of the machine when I use it, and when I put on music, it all but drowns it out. This machine is made for residential life, as you can work out without letting all of your neighbors know that you are doing so.

The Yowza Navarre Elite is another shining star that exemplifies the stellar warranty policy that Yowza Fitness never fails to provide. The warranty includes a lifetime warranty on the frame and braking system, 7 years on the parts and electronics, and 2 years in home labor.

Final Thoughts

Though the Navarre Elite is not incredibly different from its sister, the Navarre Plus, it’s definitely still a great machine to look into. The Yowza CardioSure line is one that offers great ellipticals at every price point and no matter which one you pick, I’m sure you will not be disappointed. The combination of versatile features make it a great addition to any family’s home, and its diversity makes it so no one will be excluded from getting a great workout in, no matter your height or weight. The features that make it stand out are definitely the MyLiveLight app and the generous incline and stride ranges, features that exemplify Yowza’s commitment to all inclusive fitness and quality.
