Overview: The Yowza Navarre Pilot was introduced for the 2016 model year, joining its big brothers, the Plus and the Elite, as the upper end of the CardioSure series. With loads of great features and capabilities, it’s a welcome addition to the family.

Let’s take a look at some of the highlights of this machine…

Impressive Stride Length

Yowza is known for their stride lengths, and the Navarre Pilot gives you the ability to adjust it from 18″ all the way up to 26″ with the touch of a button, allowing you to target different muscle groups in the lower body.

Great Incline

You can adjust the incline up to 35%, much greater than the typical 15 or 20% and almost as impressive as the 40% you’ll find on the NordicTrack Incline Trainers. This too adjusts with just a button touch, so you can really change up your workouts.

Mediaport Integration

You can sync your tablet or smart phone for entertainment while you work out, making the whole experience more enjoyable. Watch videos, programs, surf the web and interact with your social pages, or listen to music with the mp3 plug in and high def speakers.

Other Features

The Yowza Navarre Pilot also has self-pivoting pedals for comfort, SuperGrip handlebars, a large console with tablet holder, 9 built in workout programs, 9 user profiles and one of the best warranties in the business: Lifetime frame and brake, 5 years parts and electronics and 2 years labor.

Yowza Navarre Pilot Test Drive

The Yowza ellipticals are built strong, and the new 2016 Navarre Pilot is no exception. It looks solid and modern, and has a very comfortable feel to it. The machine is packed with features and capabilities, similar to what you get with NordicTrack, but a little more expensive and higher end.

Moving from one stride length to the next, and one incline level to the next, is very simple and relatively quiet. At the shorter lengths it is more of a stepping motion, and at the max of 26″, you are much more spread out in almost a jogging motion. As we mentioned, you can go up to 35% incline (an even higher 60% on the Navarre Plus and Elite models), which is a great way to challenge yourself. At that elevation you can use a lower resistance level to make it easier for yourself.

There’s enough on the Navarre Pilot to keep you coming back time and time again. In addition to the great stride and incline, you have the Mediaport which helps the time go by quickly, sound system with speakers, wireless heart rate monitoring for more accurate readings, a 3 speed adjustable fan, water bottle and tablet holder, along with a sturdy, comfortable and natural motion with minimal impact on your knees and joints.

Conclusion

We like the Yowza ellipticals, as they offer a lot of value. For about $1,499 on sale, you get a machine with impressive stride length and incline levels, high max weight capacity, a lot of workouts and entertainment features, and a warranty that speaks to the quality of the machine. You don’t get the touch screens with internet access that you get on some comparably priced NordicTrack machines, but the other features make up for it.
