Yowza Elliptical Reviews
If you’re the feature-loving type, Yowza is the brand for you. Like their treadmills, Yowza makes sure to cram all the latest and greatest into their ellipticals. From cardio-core technology to maintenance-free rear drive design, Yowza ellipticals are made to shock and awe.
Yowza prides itself on the fact that all of their equipment is designed and tested in the U.S. and the fact that they sell directly to customers, so they are not beholden to any stores or third party sites. These are both good things, as they can control production from start to finish and make sure things go smoothly. They are based in Fort Myers, Florida and everything is designed in Ft. Lauderdale. This explains why, in case you didn’t notice, that all of the ellipticals we review here are named after Florida cities. Kinda cool right?
Yowza’s big thing lately is S.U.R.E which stands for Swing Up Reactive Elliptical, a technology that allows for more incline while minimizing impact on your joints, which means a better workout for you without sore knees and hips. Like I said, Yowza is always pushing some new technology and incorporating it into their machines. They also offer EMS (electro magnetic) resistance, which allows for a much quieter, smoother motion than other machines.
Yowza, like other elliptical brands, offers free shipping and a money-back guarantee that you don’t see all the time. Their warranties are very good and customer service is not bad. If you’re in the market for a fancy elliptical equipped with the latest in fitness technology, be sure to give Yowza a look and to read their reviews with an open mind.
UPDATE: As of 2018 it looks like Yowza might be out of business. Check out our Best Ellipticals section for a top pick in the same price range.
Yowza ellipticals come in two varieties, the CardioCore series consisting of the Pompano, Sanibel i35, Captiva, Islamorada and Miami, as well as the seated EVO Naples models, and the CardioSure series consisting of the Jupiter (Pilot, Plus) and the Navarre (Pilot, Plus, Elite).
The CardioCore models have rotating handlebars, a unique patented feature that you won’t find on other elliptical machines. This helps you work your core. We tried out the Sanibel i35 and although the rotating handlebars took some getting used to, it was pretty cool and added another dimension to the work out.
The CardioSure series features self-pivoting pedals which relieves stress on your joints, and the regular dual arm motion handlebars found on typical ellipticals.
We have to say that all of the Yowza ellipticals look really cool and modern. They all have incline capability, heart rate receivers, iPod integration and speakers and a number of other great features depending on which model you choose. The company offers great sales all the time, with coupons, free shipping, free iPads, fitbits and other discounts from time to time.
Here you will find Yowza Fitness reviews for many of the current models. We will be adding more so check back often if you don’t see the model you are looking for.
